What actually happens in mediation?

Great question!

So you're thinking about using mediation to sort out your issues after separation. Good on you!  We can assure you that this is a good start.

CALM Scotland

Let's try something new...

In the last year CALM Scotland has been engaged in a breathless round of discussions with Relationships Scotland and other key stakeholders, including the Scottish Legal Aid Board and the Scottish Government, with the aim of increasing awareness and use of mediation and parenting apart for families experincing separation, divorce or re-structuring.

We are delighted to say now that these discussions have borne a considerable degree of fruit, and that we in the process of finalising efforts to begin a two-year pilot of information meetings around Scotland from April 2017.

Please watch this space, therefore, and in the meantime see below the proposal we are outlining in conjunction with Relationships Scotland.  We welcome any comments on the proposal and value your input and support in developing this project.
