I qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and since then my main area of practice has been civil court work. My main focus is on matters arising when people separate which includes the resolution of child related disputes as well as financial disputes. I am accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a family law mediator and am a member of CALM, the association for family law mediators in Scotland. I am also a trained collaborative solicitor and am a member of Consensus Collaboration Scotland the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. I have a keen interest in alternative methods of dispute resolution and would thoroughly recommend to separating couples the benefits for the family as a whole or resolving disputes as amicably as possible through processes such as mediation and collaborative family law.
